The annual Global Gaming Expo is done for this year (it was open from September 23 to September 26), but new technologies and innovations in the gaming sector that were introduced there will be used for years to come. One of such new things is Tournament Manager 3.0 from the gaming technology pioneers at IGT (International Game Technology). It’s the company’s first gaming tech that makes it easy for operators to facilitate Video Poker tournaments on any IGT AVP terminal.
With this new tech the operators are given the chance to run more exciting tournaments than ever with reduced costs, enhanced player experience and increased value. The competitive environment that the Tournament Manager 3.0 can create is already loved by many players. It also includes cusomizable leaderboards that change in real time.
This summer IGT’s DoubleDown Casino also partnered with Casino Del Sol to launch the world’s first cross-platform Video Poker tournament that was available in land-based casinos, and it also reached mobile, social and desktop applications. It was called Game King Championship and it had more than 360k players qualifying online, making it the world’s biggest video poker tournament.
In addition to introducing the Tournament Manager 3.0, during G2E IGT also gave the visitors of their booth the chance to participate in The DoubleDown Winner’s Circle to introduce the capabilities of their DoubleDown Casino Partner Program as well as unleashed three new, dynamic titles in the Game Changer category.
